  1. Arizona Adult Education Services provides comprehensive services to students 16 years of age and older who are not enrolled in a K school. Adult Education offers access to quality educational programs to assist students to: earn a High School Equivalency Diploma (HSE); connect to employment and job training opportunities; transition to post-secondary education; and become proficient in English.
  2. Adult Education, as part of the Workforce Innovations and Opportunity Act (WIOA), provides services to adults to build the knowledge and skills necessary for high school equivalency (HiSET), employment, post-secondary opportunities, and economic self-sustainability.
  3. The Division of Adult Education and Literacy (DAEL) administers programs that help adults get the basic skills they need including reading, writing, math, English language proficiency, and problem-solving to be productive workers, family members, and citizens.. Our office provides funds to states for adult education and literacy programs.
  4. Adult Basic Education involves non-credit courses designed to develop literacy skills necessary for successful employment and citizenship. Adult Basic Education prepares students to enroll in the GED preparation courses. Students in ABE classes work on skills in Reading, Math, and Language. Courses are offered at 2 locations around the county.
